In this July 4th prayer, we seek God's protection and blessings for all who are celebrating today. Let us pray together for safety and mindfulness.
Prayer:
"Lord Jesus, this is the day that you have made. We are going to rejoice and be glad in it. Father God, I pray for the safety and security of each and every one in agreement with this prayer today that our families may be safe in our gatherings, that our house will not be burnt down, that we will not be overly drunk on wine, but sober-minded and vigilant at all times.
Father God, I pray that you keep us underneath your shadow. Oh Lord, that you may protect us from any harm today. Oh Lord Jesus, I ask that you free us from overindulgence in alcohol so that we may be vigilant and watchful today. Father God, I pray for every child. I pray for every grown-up. I pray for every person celebrating today. May you keep us safe and may you keep us protected. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
